Marion Illinois and Southern Illinois go to place for Real Estate!

About Us

The idea for sihomes4u.com was born in early spring of 2005, We were in the process of fulfilling part of "The American Dream" owning our own home. We did most of our shopping online, we would search listings then compile a list with addresses (something many sites do not include) and we would spend a day looking at possibilities. When we found a home we were interested in looking further at we contacted our realtor and set up an appointment. Doing it this way allowed us to not waste any of our realtors time showing us property we were not even interested in.

Through this process I realized a few things.

1. We never saw 1 FSBO (For Sale by Owner) listing for our area on the internet.

2. We never saw any rental property in our area on the internet.

3. There were no web sites that combined the above 2 things WITH Realtor listings.

When I tossed the idea out to a couple realtor friends there were kind of cold to the idea, after all FSBO is taking money out of their pocket right? Well maybe not if you consider a few things.

1. Most people who are selling their home, even on their own are also looking to BUY a home.

2. As many as 90% of people who list their home FSBO give up and enlist an Agent with in 90 days.

3. Exposure is everything, if some one lists their own home on a web site, such as this one, they will also see your listings as a Realtor thus increasing your chances of listing their home for them if they decide to give up on FSBO.

4. More people look everyday to the internet for shopping and information.

With all that said Welcome to sihomes4u.com just another little part of the puzzle of "OUR" American Dream.
